Well, we’re back from the national american miss pageant and RaeLynn did phenominal!
She received 4th runner up in the state for acting and placed in the top 15 in the state for Miss Teen Nebraska! The true placement number will be available when all the pageants for the year are done, sometime in December, but what an accomplishment!
She was also invited to represent the state of Nebraska in the Nationals held in California. Although she has decided to pass on it because when she goes she wants to go as Miss Teen Nebraska, I know she would have had a very good chance of placing well in that competition, if not to win the title.
We are very proud of her and here are some pictures we have right now from the pageant. As soon as we receive the video and the rest of the pictures, they will be posted here.
I know most of you probably don’t care but I’m a huge Nascar fan and an even LARGER Dale Jr. fan. The last race won by Dale Jr. was in May of 2006 and I have stuck by his side as a fan cheering him on and even buying products like AMP Energy drinks (one of his major sponsors) thinking maybe it will be good luck.
Well, today, June 15th 2008 at the Michigan International Speedway, Dale Jr. finally got a win with his new team (Hendricks Motorsports, AMP Energy, National Guard).
So many times in the past (over the last 76 races) Dale Jr has been robbed of a victory because of some asshole (not mentioning any names but Brian Vickers (at Talladega in 2006) and Kyle Busch (at Richmond earlier this year), you know who you are).
I could go on for hours on this topic but I’ll just finish it by posting the win today……
